24 girls graduate from Nursing School of CAF in Badakhshan

Yesterday, 24 young girls graduated from Nursing School of Care for Afghan Families (CAF) in Badakhshan after taking 18 weeks of training, and celebrated their graduation in presence of local officials.

These girls were enrolled in the program from 13 districts of Badakhshan and In-charge of CAF in the province says they will try to recruit the girls in health service providing centers of 13 districts in Badakhshan.

Dr. Abdul Momin Jalili, In-charge of CAF in Badakhshan says for reinforcing health services and accounting for lack of human resources in health centers, these girls will be prioritized in recruitment. 

It is while according to Dr. Noor Khawari, Public Health Director of Badakhshan, training of nurses and midwives in previous years has caused maternal mortality to decrease in remote areas of the province and a lot of changes have occurred in providing health services.
