Badakhshan Police Commander: we will try to remove threats of polling centers

Local officials in Badakhshan stress on removing threats of polling centers.

Major General Abdul Khaliq Aqsay, Badakhshan Police Commander said to Bayanshamal yesterday that with start of voters’ registration process and execution of planned clearing operations, they will try to remove threats of some polling centers that are on high and mid levels of threat so that voters can peacefully participate in election.

Mr. Aqsay says security forces have full preparation for maintaining security of election employees, carrying electoral materials to districts of Badakhshan and they will work in sound cooperation.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmad Bashir Samim, Head of Badakhshan Provincial Council also expects security forces to work harder in maintaining security of election and removing threats of polling centers so this national process doesn’t face any challenges in the province.

It is while voters’ registration process started on Saturday of the ongoing week across the country.
