C-IED campaign launched for students in Baghlan

Counter-Improvised Explosives Devices campaign was launched by Baghlan police in association with Bayan-e Shamal Media Center. 

Allahdad Fedayi, Baghlan Police Commander, in the opening ceremony of the campaign, considered it beneficial on raising students’ knowledge about different types of IEDs and asked students to contact 119 hotlines when seeing anything suspicious to avoid unpleasant incidents. 

Mr. Fedayi also added that the enemies of people are trying to take public lives by planting mines, but security forces with support from people won’t allow them to reach their heinous goals. 

In the opening ceremony, Mohammad Arif Tahir, Education Director of Pul-e Khumri, in addition to appreciating police and Bayan-e Shamal Media Center’s efforts told the press that the C-IED awareness campaign has been launched in 6 schools of Pul-e Khumri and stationary was also distributed to around ten thousand girl and boy students. 

In the meantime, students in Baghlan proclaimed their support for the campaign and promised to inform security forces when encountering suspicious things. 

Bayan-e Shamal Media Center has launched C-IED campaign in 9 northern and northeastern provinces in cooperation with police and Education Departments to save students, who are the future makers of Afghanistan, from the dangers of explosive and suspicious devices.
