360-bed child, mother clinic opens in Mazar-e Sharif

A child and mother clinic with the capacity of 360 beds was inaugurated in Abu Ali Sena hospital in Mazar-e Sharif city.

Mirwais Rabi, Public Health Director of Balkh says the clinic was built at a cost of 15 million euros by Germany with a capacity of 360 beds in five floors, and all the facilities have been considered in it.

He added that the clinic will provide health care for mothers and children in Balkh and northern provinces of the country.

However, according to Balkh Public Health Director, there are still 146 other health centers in the province that lack proper buildings and facilities, and residents of distant districts in Balkh do not have access to appropriate health services.
