Adil Shah Adil, spokesperson to Balkh Police Headquarters told Bayan-e Shamal that 1,500 packages were distributed inside the city and 500 other packages were given to passengers entering Mazar-e Sharif city in the entrance belt of the city.
He said although the packages were a small aid, but they showed security forces’ respect to civilians and the holy month of Ramadan. Mr. Adil stated that this move can bring security forces and people closer.
On the other hand, residents of Mazar-e Sharif thanked their security forces and said that their efforts in providing security for civilians is praiseworthy.
The Iftari packages which included dates, water, biscuit, and chocolate, were prepared in association with Bayan-e Shamal Media Center.
