Construction of intersection named after martyr Gen. Raziq begins in Kunduz

Cornerstone of intersection named after martyr General Raziq was laid by the governor, a number of government officials, members of provincial council and civil activists of Kunduz in Sar-e Dawra town. 

Mohammad Haroon Arzbegi, Head of Urban Development and Housing Department of Kunduz says construction of the intersection will be completed in two months and it will be handed over to utilization.

He expresses that the intersection will cost more than 40 thousand USD which will be paid by General Achikzai’s family and its construction will be monitored by Urban Development Department.

Provincial Governor of Kunduz, Abdul Jabar Naimi, in addition to praying for all the martyrs of the country who have sacrificed their lives in defending their land, thanked martyr Achakzai’s family for making such an attractive intersection. Mr. Naimi said that this act keeps the memory and achievements of the martyr alive and is a great step toward a developed and good-looking Kunduz. 

Previously, the Kunduz airport road was named after General Abdul Raziq and this crossroads is planned to be built in a total area of 770 square meters.
