Taliban commander’s support for peace

Kunduz police say that a Taliban group leader has showed his support for peace by joining the government.

Major Sayed Sarwar Hussaini, spokesman for Kunduz Police Headquarters maintains this group leader is named Qari Mohammad Hassan who fought against the government in Imam Sahib district of the province. 

According to Hussaini, Qari Hassan has surrendered to the police with a gun and a radio.

Hussaini explains the reason behind this commander joining the government was understanding the reality and support for peace process.
