Ferozuddin Ahmadi, Literacy Director at Samangan Education Department said these women were residents of Aybak city and Darah-ye Suf-e Bala district and they will be trained for 3 months in fields of tailoring, bee-keeping, hen-keeping and making dairy products.
He added the program will be conducted theoretically and practically and UNESCO has distributed 90 tailoring machines, pots, water buckets and bee-keeping tools.
Mr. Ahmadi didn’t say anything about the cost of the project, but added they are trying to extend it for 6 more months.
It is worth mentioning that women who have been selected for this program, previously, took a 9-month literacy course with the help of UNESCO.
