60% increase in seasonal diseases in Sar-e Pul

Officials in Sar-e Pul 100-Bed Hospital notify about 60% increase of diarrhea and vomit in children and ask families to take their contaminated children to healthcare centers for treatment as soon as possible.

Dr. Mohammad Rustam Rajabi, Head of Sar-e Pul 100-Bed Hospital considered air pollution, drought, lack of nutrient for children, unhealthy water, using unhealthy fresh fruit, and lack of parents’ care to environment of children as reasons for the outbreak of the diseases. He requests parents to take their polluted children to the nearest healthcare centers in their areas to treat them and prevent children’s mortality under the age of five.

It is while officials of Sar-e Pul Provincial Hospital had informed about a 50% increase in seasonal diseases of respiratory system and anemia in children last winter as well.
